William Hill announces BetGame as the winner of £150,000
BetGame are the new winners of the William Hill’s WHLabs Accelerator Programme. They were unveiled as winners at a showcase event held at The Trampery (Shoreditch- London). BetGame which is based in Manchester walked home with £150,000 prize.
According to William Hill judges, BetGame were able to scoop the award after it was noticed that the firm’s product had achieved a positive feedback during a beta test stage and they were in a better position of mingling with social publishers and media mostly Facebook and Switch TV.
BetGame scooped the very initial WHLabs Accelerator Programme from William Hill beating fellow contestants Streetlike (IoT rewards through digital signage), Winkapp (creating URLs that bridge offline and online media), Skillzzgaming (combining gambling games with skill) and Asylum Labs (creators of the Wild Party Bingo app). At the same time, Skillzzgaming scooped the ‘Highly Commended’ award.
Interim MD of William Hill Online, Crispin Nieboer claimed that this is a great chance accorded to various firms who have all it takes to initiate something that can be adorable for long. BetGame innovations will be crucial in bringing fruitful ideas to the competitive eSports market with disruption of the system being they fundamental aspect.
