The best Bitcoin live casinos for US players in October 2026 are Bovada, Ignition, MyBookie and BetOnline: all four take Bitcoin from players in the states they serve, run live blackjack, roulette and baccarat with real dealers, and pay crypto withdrawals within about a day of approval. None of them is licensed by a US state, and no state-licensed US casino we checked accepts Bitcoin, so playing a live dealer game with crypto means using an offshore site and accepting the risks that come with it. This guide compares their crypto limits, review times and fees, then walks through wallets, deposits, withdrawals, bonus maths and the tax rules that apply to crypto winnings.
Updated October 2026. Our earlier version of this page listed BitStarz and Bitkingz, which do not serve US players, and claimed that Bitcoin play is anonymous, fee-free and instant, with “no possibility of fraud”. None of that holds up. Every banking figure below comes from the operators’ own help centres, and every legal and tax point from a regulator, the IRS or the statute itself.
Best Bitcoin Live Casinos for US Players (October 2026)
These four offshore casinos accepted US players and listed Bitcoin in their cashiers when we checked their help centres in October 2026. Each excludes some states, so read the terms on each card before you sign up.

Bonus terms change often. Live dealer games do not count towards the casino welcome bonus rollover at any of the four. Minimum age is 18 at Bovada, Ignition and BetOnline, while MyBookie’s general rules require players to be 21 or older.
Bovada: biggest live lobby and the most crypto options
With 95 live tables and games, Bovada has the deepest lobby here, including 38 blackjack tables, 10 VIP blackjack tables, 16 roulette tables and 15 baccarat tables, and table limits run from $1 to $50,000. Its cashier takes Bitcoin, Bitcoin Lightning, Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin SV, Litecoin, Ethereum and USD Tether, and Bovada charges nothing on crypto deposits or withdrawals. Requests are reviewed in about 24 hours, then most coins arrive within an hour and Bitcoin within 24 hours. The crypto welcome offer is 125% up to $1,250 on each of your first three deposits, at 25x rollover. Bovada bars players from 19 states plus Washington, DC, and in October 2024 the Massachusetts Attorney General sent a cease-and-desist letter to the companies behind it. Full details are in our Bovada review.
Ignition: poker and live tables, with Lightning payouts
Ignition pairs live blackjack, roulette and baccarat with one of the busiest US-facing poker rooms. Its withdrawal list has seven coins, among them Bitcoin Lightning, which pays out from $10 up to $10,000 per transaction and $25,000 a day. Reviews take about 24 to 48 hours (around 24 hours for Bitcoin), after which Bitcoin lands within 24 hours and Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Ethereum and Bitcoin SV in about an hour. Crypto depositors get 300% up to $3,000, split evenly between casino and poker. Ignition excludes Delaware, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey and New York. See our Ignition review.
MyBookie: ten coins in, Bitcoin out
MyBookie accepts ten cryptocurrencies for deposits from $20, but it pays out by only two methods: Bitcoin and bank wire. Bitcoin withdrawals run from $25 to $5,000 per request, carry no MyBookie fee, are reviewed within 12 to 24 hours and normally arrive within 24 hours. You can make one withdrawal per method per week. The live lobby has more than 60 real-dealer tables, including more than 20 blackjack tables. Michigan’s Gaming Control Board ordered MyBookie to stop serving Michigan residents in January 2025. More in our MyBookie review.
BetOnline: 17 coins and high-limit tables
BetOnline lists 17 cryptocurrencies for deposits and withdrawals, including USD Coin as well as Tether, and processes crypto withdrawals within 24 hours according to its withdrawal table. Bitcoin payouts have no listed BetOnline fee and no maximum, while other coins cost $1.50 to $25 depending on the coin and amount. Its two live lobbies, from Visionary iGaming and Fresh Deck Studios, offer blackjack from $1 a hand up to $50,000 at the top table. Regulators in Michigan, Tennessee and Massachusetts have ordered BetOnline to stop taking their residents. Our BetOnline review has the rest.
Crypto Banking Compared: Bovada, Ignition, MyBookie and BetOnline
Headline payout speeds hide a two-stage process. First the casino reviews the request, which is where most of the waiting happens; then the coins move on the blockchain. The table below separates the two, using each operator’s help centre as of October 2026.
| Bovada | Ignition | MyBookie | BetOnline | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coins for withdrawal | BTC, BCH, BSV, LTC, ETH, USDT | BTC, Lightning, BCH, BSV, LTC, ETH, USDT | BTC only (plus bank wire) | 17 coins incl. BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, LTC |
| Bitcoin Lightning | Deposits | Withdrawals | Not listed | Not listed |
| Minimum crypto deposit | 0.0001 BTC; small coin minimums for others | $20 to claim a bonus | $20 ($5 fee below that) | $10 |
| Bitcoin withdrawal minimum | $75 | $100 | $25 | $20 |
| Bitcoin withdrawal maximum | $9,500 per request, $90,000 a week | $9,500 per request, $90,000 a week | $5,000 per request, one a week | No listed limit |
| Review time | About 24 hours | 24 to 48 hours (about 24 for BTC) | 12 to 24 hours | Processed within 24 hours |
| Delivery after approval | Up to 1 hour for most coins, up to 24 hours for BTC | About 1 hour for most coins, up to 24 hours for BTC | Usually within 24 hours | Included in the 24 hours |
| Casino fee on BTC withdrawal | None | None | None | None listed; network fee can apply |
| Deposit wagering before cash-out | Each deposit once | Each deposit once | Each deposit once, weighted by game | Each deposit once |
Two practical points come out of this. Small withdrawals are easiest at BetOnline and MyBookie, which accept Bitcoin cash-outs from $20 and $25. Large wins are easiest at BetOnline or in Litecoin at Bovada and Ignition, which allow up to $180,000 a week in LTC, whereas MyBookie’s one $5,000 Bitcoin request a week means a $20,000 win takes a month to leave the site.
Withdrawal limits by coin at Bovada and Ignition
Both sites publish per-coin limits, and the differences are large enough to change which coin you should use.
| Coin | Bovada min / max per request / weekly cap | Ignition min / max per request / weekly cap |
|---|---|---|
| Bitcoin (BTC) | $75 / $9,500 / $90,000 | $100 / $9,500 / $90,000 |
| Litecoin (LTC) | $10 / $9,500 / $180,000 | $10 / $9,500 / $180,000 |
| Bitcoin SV (BSV) | $10 / $9,500 / $9,500 | $10 / $9,500 / $9,500 |
| Ethereum (ETH) | $50 / $2,500 / $2,500 | $50 / $2,500 / $2,500 |
| USD Tether (USDT) | $50 / $2,500 / $2,500 | $50 / $2,500 / $2,500 |
| Bitcoin Cash (BCH) | $10 / $2,500 / $2,500 | $10 / $2,500 / $2,500 |
| Bitcoin Lightning | Not offered for withdrawal | $10 / $10,000 / $25,000 per day |
Both casinos allow one crypto withdrawal request every 15 minutes up to these limits. Ignition adds that amounts above the per-transaction maximum are paid in instalments every three days and that limits can differ per account.
BetOnline crypto withdrawal fees
| Coin | Minimum | Maximum | BetOnline fee |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bitcoin | $20 | No limit | Listed as free; network fees can apply |
| Ethereum, Tether, USD Coin | $20 | No limit | $1.50 to $25, rising with the amount |
| Litecoin | $20 | $50,000 | $1.50 to $7.50 |
| Avalanche, Bitcoin Cash, Dogecoin, Polygon, Shiba Inu, Tron, Trump | $20 | $10,000 | $1.50 to $6.25 |
BetOnline’s own crypto fee article warns that the final network fee can differ from the estimate shown, and the fee is debited on top of the amount you withdraw, so leave a little extra in your balance.
How Bitcoin Live Casinos Work
A Bitcoin live casino is an ordinary live dealer casino with a crypto cashier. Games stream in your browser from a studio where a human dealer deals real cards or spins a real wheel, and you bet through on-screen controls. Nothing about the game changes because you paid in Bitcoin.
What changes is the money path. At all four sites on this page, your balance is held in US dollars. When a Bitcoin deposit confirms, the casino converts it at its rate and credits dollars; when you withdraw, it converts dollars back into the coin you choose. Bovada states plainly that crypto is converted to USD in your balance. In practice that means two things:
- Price moves after deposit do not affect your casino balance. If Bitcoin falls while you play, your $500 balance is still $500.
- Price moves before deposit and after withdrawal do affect you. Between buying the coin and the casino crediting it, and between the payout and your sale on an exchange, you carry market risk.
Unlike card deposits, a Bitcoin payment cannot be charged back. Bitcoin.org puts it simply: a transaction “cannot be reversed, it can only be refunded by the person receiving the funds”. That protects the casino from fraudulent chargebacks, but it also means a payment sent to the wrong address is gone.
Live dealer games are also not provably fair in the crypto sense. Some crypto-native sites offer RNG games where you can verify each result with a hash. A live table works differently: you watch a physical shuffle or spin on camera, and fairness rests on the studio’s procedures and the operator’s honesty, not on cryptography.
Live Dealer Games You Can Play With Bitcoin
Every site on this page offers the core three: blackjack, roulette and baccarat. Table counts and limits vary a lot, which matters more to a live player than any bonus.
| Casino | Live studios / labels | Live blackjack | Other live games |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bovada | Own live lobby | 38 tables plus 10 VIP; side bets incl. Pairs, Rummy and Super 777 | 16 roulette, 15 baccarat (October 2026) |
| Ignition | Own live lobby | Classic six-deck and Blackjack Early Payout, separate high-roller lobby | Roulette, baccarat |
| MyBookie | Includes ViG-labelled tables | 20+ tables: Bronze, Silver, Gold and VIP tiers, Early Payout, Latin | American and European roulette, baccarat with Super 6, Dragon Tiger, sic bo |
| BetOnline | Visionary iGaming, Fresh Deck Studios | From $1 (Immortal 1, up to $20,000) to $500 minimum (Classic 4, up to $50,000) | Roulette, baccarat, Super 6 |
Live blackjack
Live blackjack is the closest thing online to a real casino table: a dealer deals from a shoe, and you act on your hand inside a timer. Blackjack Early Payout, found at Ignition, MyBookie and BetOnline, lets you cash out a hand before it finishes for an amount set by the cards in play. With correct basic strategy, blackjack carries one of the lowest house edges in the casino, but the exact figure depends on deck count, whether the dealer hits soft 17 and what a blackjack pays, so check the rules panel at each table. Our live blackjack guide covers strategy and table rules.
Live roulette
Live roulette comes in two main versions at these sites. European roulette has a single zero, which gives a house edge of 2.70% on standard bets; American roulette adds a double zero, which raises it to 5.26%. On a $10,000 total of bets, that is an expected cost of about $270 against $526. If a site offers both, the single-zero wheel is the better choice almost every time. More on wheels and bets in our live roulette guide.
Live baccarat
Baccarat is the simplest live game to play and has some of the clearest odds. On a standard eight-deck game, the Banker bet carries a house edge of 1.06% after the 5% commission, Player 1.24%, and Tie at 8:1 a steep 14.36%. Super 6 tables, offered by MyBookie and BetOnline, drop the commission but pay only half on a winning Banker six, which changes the maths. Ignore “trend” scorecards: past hands do not predict the next one. Our live baccarat guide explains the side bets.
Poker-style and Asian games
MyBookie lists Dragon Tiger and sic bo alongside its card tables. Ignition’s strength is real-money peer-to-peer poker rather than live casino poker variants; its poker room shares the same account and crypto balance, which is why its welcome bonus is split between casino and poker.
Are Bitcoin Live Casinos Legal in the US?
Eight states have legalised online casinos. Seven markets are live: New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia, Connecticut, Delaware and Rhode Island. Maine legalised a tribal-only market in January 2026 (LD 1164), but it had not launched as of October 2026. In those seven live markets, state-licensed casinos offer live dealer games with regulated deposits by debit card, bank transfer, e-wallets and cash at a casino cage.
Crypto is not part of that regulated picture. In October 2026 we found no state-licensed online casino in any of the seven live markets that lists Bitcoin or another cryptocurrency as a deposit method. New Jersey’s internet gaming rules (N.J.A.C. 13:69O-1.3) list approved ways to fund an account and allow “any other means approved by the Division”, but crypto is not named. A few states have allowed crypto in a narrower form for sports betting: Wyoming wrote it into its sports wagering law in 2021, and in 2022 Colorado and Virginia regulators approved processors that convert crypto to dollars before the money reaches a sportsbook wallet. That is not the same as a casino taking Bitcoin directly.
So if you want to play live blackjack with Bitcoin in the US, you are using an offshore casino. Bovada, Ignition, MyBookie and BetOnline are licensed, if at all, outside the US: Bovada’s footer cites the Union of the Comoros, Ignition points disputes to an ADR provider accredited by the Anjouan Gaming Board, MyBookie names Curaçao, and BetOnline names Panama. US enforcement has been aimed at operators rather than players, and it is growing:
- Massachusetts, 3 October 2024: the Attorney General’s Office sent a cease-and-desist letter to the operators of Bovada (named as Harp Media B.V. and Hove Media), and Bovada stopped serving the state.
- Michigan, January 2025: Michigan’s Gaming Control Board ordered MyBookie’s operator to stop offering gambling to Michigan residents. It later issued a similar order to BetOnline (April 2025).
- Tennessee, May 2025: Tennessee’s Sports Wagering Council sent BetOnline a cease-and-desist letter.
The risk for you is practical rather than criminal in most states: there is no state regulator to complain to, your balance is not held under US segregation rules, and if an account is closed or a payout refused, you are relying on the operator’s own dispute process. Never use a VPN to play from a state an operator excludes; it breaks the terms, and the casino can void winnings when it checks your identity at withdrawal. If you live in one of the seven live states, a state-licensed casino gives you a regulator and protected funds, at the cost of paying by card, bank or e-wallet instead of crypto.
Setting Up a Crypto Wallet for Casino Play
You need two things before your first crypto deposit: a way to buy coins with dollars, and a wallet you control to send and receive them.
- Open an account at a US exchange. MyBookie’s help centre names Coinbase, Crypto.com, Kraken and Gemini as examples. US exchanges verify your identity under federal anti-money-laundering rules, so expect to upload ID.
- Buy the coin you plan to use. Bitcoin is accepted everywhere; Litecoin is cheap and fast and has the highest weekly withdrawal caps at Bovada and Ignition; USDT or USDC hold a dollar value.
- Install a self-custody wallet. MyBookie suggests wallets such as Exodus, Phantom or Trust Wallet and advises against sending payouts straight to Cash App or Coinbase. Some exchanges restrict or question gambling-related transfers, and a personal wallet keeps the casino leg separate from your exchange account.
- Back up the recovery phrase. Write the 12 or 24 words on paper and store them offline. Anyone with the phrase controls the funds; nobody can recover it for you.
- Move coins from the exchange to your wallet. Send a small test amount first and check that it arrives.
- If you want Lightning, use a wallet that supports the Lightning Network. Lightning payments use invoices rather than ordinary Bitcoin addresses.
Custodial wallets, where an exchange holds the keys, are simpler but give the exchange control over your funds. A self-custody wallet puts the security on you: lose the recovery phrase and the coins are gone.
How to Deposit Bitcoin at a Live Casino
- Verify your account early. None of the four sites requires documents to open an account, but all can ask for them before a withdrawal. Sending ID and proof of address in advance avoids a delay later.
- Decide on the bonus first. If you will play live tables, skip the casino welcome bonus (see the bonus maths below). Bonuses are claimed at the time of deposit and usually cannot be added later.
- Open the cashier and choose the coin. The casino shows a deposit address, often with a QR code. Bovada’s cashier, for example, lists Bitcoin, Bitcoin Lightning, Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin SV, Litecoin, Ethereum and USD Tether.
- Check the network. Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin SV are separate blockchains from Bitcoin, and USDT exists on several networks. Send only the coin, on the network, that the cashier names.
- Check the minimum. Bovada does not honour deposits below the coin minimum (0.0001 BTC for Bitcoin). MyBookie charges $5 on crypto deposits under $20.
- Send from your wallet. Paste the address, enter the amount, choose the network fee and confirm.
- Wait for confirmation. Ignition credits crypto once the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain. BetOnline quotes 15 minutes to 2 hours for crypto deposits to appear.
A Lightning deposit at Bovada follows the same steps, except that the cashier generates an invoice and your Lightning wallet pays it. Bovada’s Lightning limits are 0.0001 BTC minimum and $10,000 maximum per deposit, against $5,000 for an ordinary Bitcoin deposit.
How to Withdraw Bitcoin Winnings
Withdrawals are where offshore crypto banking really differs from the old “instant payout” promises. Every site reviews the request before any coin moves.
- Clear the deposit rollover. At all four casinos, every deposit must be wagered at least once before you can withdraw, even without a bonus. MyBookie weights this by game: live dealer bets count only 10%, so a $200 deposit played only on live blackjack needs $2,000 in bets first.
- Complete verification. Ignition and MyBookie may ask for a government photo ID and a proof of address dated within 60 days. If you have ever deposited by card, Bovada and Ignition require a Credit Card Verification Form for each card before processing any withdrawal, including Bitcoin.
- Generate a fresh receiving address. Bovada requires a new, unused address for every withdrawal, even after a failed attempt. Copy it from your own wallet, never from a message.
- Request the withdrawal in the cashier. Choose the same coin as the address, paste it and enter the amount in dollars. MyBookie also asks for your security PIN or an SMS code.
- Wait for review, then delivery. Expect about 24 hours of review at Bovada, 24 to 48 at Ignition and 12 to 24 at MyBookie, then up to 24 hours for Bitcoin itself.
- Convert if you do not want price risk. Move the coins to an exchange and sell them for dollars, or hold them knowing the value will move.
One scam warning appears in several help centres. Ignition says its staff and VIP hosts will never send you wallet addresses or payment details for a withdrawal, and MyBookie says it will never send a wallet address in a promotional email. Anyone who contacts you offering to “speed up” a payout for a fee is not the casino.
Fees and Volatility: A Worked Example
Crypto is cheaper than cards at these sites, but not free. Here is where the costs sit, using a hypothetical $1,000 session. Exchange fees and coin prices below are illustrative; check your own exchange’s fee schedule.
| Step | What happens | Cost or risk |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Buy $1,000 of Bitcoin on an exchange | Exchange charges a trading fee or spread | Say 1%: $10 |
| 2. Send to your wallet, then to Bovada | Network fee on each on-chain transfer | Varies with congestion; a few dollars in busy periods |
| 3. Bovada credits the deposit in USD | No Bovada deposit fee | $0; price moves now stop affecting your balance |
| 4. You finish the session at $1,500 | Deposit wagered once, no bonus active | Withdrawable |
| 5. Withdraw $1,500 in Litecoin | Reviewed in about 24 hours, then sent within about an hour | No Bovada fee; Bovada says wallet network fees are usually under $1 |
| 6. Sell the Litecoin for dollars | Exchange fee or spread; price can move between payout and sale | Say 1%: $15, plus or minus any price change |
In this example you pay roughly $25 to $30 in fees on a $500 win. Compare a card: Bovada’s first card deposit is free, but later card deposits cost 15.9% or more, so a $1,000 card reload would lose at least $159 before your first bet. Our guide to credit card deposits at US casinos explains why banks also decline or treat these payments as cash advances.
Volatility is the other cost. Suppose the coin you hold falls 5% during the hour or so between the casino sending your Litecoin and your sale: a $1,500 payout becomes about $1,425. It can rise just as easily, but you did not set out to trade crypto. If you cash out immediately, the exposure is short. Hold the coins for weeks and your result depends on the market as much as on the table.
Bitcoin, Stablecoins or Altcoins: Which Coin to Use
Bitcoin is the default, but it is not always the best coin for casino banking. Each option trades speed, limits and price risk differently.
| Coin | Strength | Weakness | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bitcoin (BTC) | Accepted at all four sites; $9,500 per request at Bovada and Ignition | Slowest delivery (up to 24 hours); price swings; on-chain fees rise when the network is busy | Larger deposits and withdrawals |
| Bitcoin Lightning | Fast, low-cost transfers | Needs a Lightning wallet; only Bovada (deposits) and Ignition (withdrawals) list it | Frequent small payments |
| Litecoin (LTC) | Delivery in about an hour; $180,000 weekly cap at Bovada and Ignition | Price swings like any non-stable coin | Fast, large payouts |
| Tether (USDT) / USD Coin (USDC) | Pegged to the US dollar, so little price risk | $2,500 per week cap on USDT at Bovada and Ignition; BetOnline charges a fee | Deposits and modest withdrawals without market exposure |
| Ethereum (ETH) | Widely held | $2,500 weekly cap at Bovada and Ignition; BetOnline charges a fee | Players who already hold it |
Stablecoins are designed to hold a value of one US dollar, backed by reserves held by their issuers (Tether for USDT, Circle for USDC). The GENIUS Act, signed into law on 18 July 2025, created a federal framework for payment stablecoins in the US. A peg is a design goal rather than a guarantee, and stablecoins still carry issuer risk, but day to day they remove almost all of Bitcoin’s price swings. For many players, a sensible pattern is to deposit with a stablecoin and withdraw larger wins in Bitcoin or Litecoin, where the caps are higher.
Crypto Casino Bonuses: The Maths for Live Players
Crypto deposits unlock bigger welcome offers at all three sites that run separate crypto bonuses. The catch for this site’s readers is simple: live dealer play does not clear them.
Bovada: 125% up to $1,250, three times
Bovada’s crypto casino welcome bonus is 125% up to $1,250 on each of your first three deposits, $3,750 in total. The rollover is 25x the deposit plus the bonus, the minimum qualifying deposit is $20, and live dealer games count 0%: bonus funds cannot be used at live tables at all.
| Crypto deposit | Bonus (125%) | Deposit + bonus | Wagering needed (25x) |
|---|---|---|---|
| $200 | $250 | $450 | $11,250 |
| $500 | $625 | $1,125 | $28,125 |
| $1,000 | $1,250 | $2,250 | $56,250 |
A $1,000 crypto deposit reaches the $1,250 cap exactly, which is why it is the most efficient size. Clearing $56,250 on slots that return 96% costs about $2,250 in expected losses (4% of $56,250), which is the same size as your whole deposit plus bonus. That is the honest picture of a large match bonus: the value is real only if you enjoy slot play anyway. At a live blackjack table, none of the $56,250 is counted.
Ignition: 150% casino plus 150% poker
Ignition’s crypto welcome bonus is 300% up to $3,000, split into 150% up to $1,500 for the casino and 150% up to $1,500 for poker. On a $500 crypto deposit the casino part is $750, and the rollover is ($500 + $750) x 25 = $31,250 within six months. Live dealer games count 0%, and while the bonus is active each casino bet is capped at 20% of the deposit. The poker half unlocks gradually as you earn Ignition Miles at the poker tables, so it suits poker players far more than live casino players.
MyBookie: 200% up to $2,000 at 40x
MyBookie’s casino offer (code 200MB) is not crypto-only: 200% up to $2,000 plus 50 free spins from a $50 deposit, with the bonus wagered 40 times and the deposit once. A $1,000 deposit for the full $2,000 needs $81,000 of qualifying play, and live dealer games do not count. MyBookie also runs a tiered crypto reload of up to 55% (code MBCRYPTORELOAD) and a 100% crypto sports bonus up to $1,000 paid as Free Play.
BetOnline: check the current offer
BetOnline’s welcome promotion leans towards the sportsbook, and its casino bonuses exclude baccarat and roulette. Offers change often, so check its promotions page for the current casino deal before depositing.
The rule of thumb
If at least half your play will be at live tables, deposit without a casino bonus. You then need to wager each deposit only once (weighted by game at MyBookie) and can withdraw whenever you like. Compare more crypto offers on our best Bitcoin bonuses page.
Privacy: What Bitcoin Does and Does Not Hide
The old idea that Bitcoin gambling is anonymous is wrong on both ends of the transaction.
- The blockchain is public. Bitcoin.org states that “all Bitcoin transactions are public, traceable, and permanently stored in the Bitcoin network”, and that anyone can see the balance and history of an address once it is used. Bitcoin is pseudonymous: addresses are not labelled with names, but they can be linked to you.
- Exchanges know who you are. US exchanges verify identity when you open an account, and from the 2025 tax year brokers report digital asset sales to the IRS on Form 1099-DA.
- The casinos check ID. All four sites can ask for a government photo ID and proof of address before they release a withdrawal, and Bovada and Ignition require card verification forms if you have ever used a card. Accounts are limited to one per person, household, IP address and payment method at MyBookie.
What crypto does give you is separation from your bank. Your card statement does not show a gambling merchant, your bank is not asked to approve an offshore transfer, and you share no card details with the casino. That is a real advantage, but it is privacy from your bank, not anonymity from the law or the casino.
Taxes on Crypto Casino Winnings in the US
Playing offshore, or in crypto, does not change your federal tax position. The main rules, from the IRS and the 2025 tax law:
- All gambling winnings are taxable. IRS Topic 419 says gambling winnings “are fully taxable and you must report the income on your tax return”, including the fair market value of non-cash prizes. Winnings received in crypto are valued in US dollars at fair market value when you receive them.
- No W-2G does not mean no tax. Licensed US casinos issue Form W-2G for certain wins. Offshore sites such as these do not send US tax forms, but the income is still reportable.
- Losses are deductible only if you itemise, on Schedule A, and only up to the gambling income you report. You need records: a diary or statements showing wins and losses. Save every cashier receipt and transaction ID.
- The 90% rule from 2026. Section 70114 of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (Public Law 119-21, signed 4 July 2025) amended section 165(d) of the Internal Revenue Code so that, for tax years beginning after 31 December 2025, deductible wagering losses equal 90% of your losses, still capped at your winnings. Win $10,000 and lose $10,000 in 2026, and you can deduct only $9,000, leaving $1,000 of taxable income from a break-even year.
- Crypto has its own layer. Spending or exchanging a digital asset is a disposal for tax purposes. If you deposit Bitcoin that has risen in value since you bought it, the casino’s conversion to dollars can trigger a capital gain; if you hold winnings paid in crypto and sell later, you have a gain or loss measured from their value when received.
- Form 1040 asks. The digital asset question asks whether, at any time during the year, you received a digital asset as a reward, award or payment, or sold, exchanged or otherwise disposed of one. Using crypto at a casino usually means answering yes.
- Brokers now report. Exchanges began reporting gross proceeds of digital asset sales on Form 1099-DA for 2025 transactions, with cost basis reporting added for 2026 transactions.
State income tax rules differ, and some states do not allow gambling loss deductions at all. If you have significant crypto gambling activity, talk to a tax professional.
Advantages and Drawbacks of Bitcoin Live Casinos
| Advantages | Drawbacks |
|---|---|
| Deposits work when US banks decline offshore card payments | Only available at offshore sites with no US state licence |
| No casino fee on Bitcoin withdrawals at all four sites, unlike 15.9%+ card deposit fees at Bovada | Network fees, exchange fees and spreads still apply |
| Payouts within about a day of approval, against 10 to 15 business days for checks and wires at Bovada | Review and verification still take 12 to 48 hours |
| Bigger welcome bonuses for crypto deposits | Those bonuses do not count live dealer play |
| Your bank statement shows no gambling merchant | Not anonymous: the blockchain is traceable and casinos run ID checks |
| Higher weekly payout caps in Litecoin and Bitcoin | Payments are irreversible; a wrong address or network loses the funds |
How We Chose These Casinos
We started from the US-facing live casinos this site reviews and kept only operators that, in October 2026, accepted US players in at least most states, listed Bitcoin in the cashier, ran live blackjack, roulette and baccarat, and published their crypto limits, review times and fees in a help centre. Our ranking then weighed four things a live player feels most: the size and depth of the live lobby, the speed and limits of crypto payouts, banking costs, and the operator’s track record and legal position. No deposits or test play were made for this guide; the figures come from the operators’ published terms, which we cite below, and from state regulators’ public orders. BitStarz and Bitkingz, which our old page listed, do not serve US players and were removed.
Safety Checklist Before You Deposit Crypto
- Confirm your state is not on the operator’s restricted list.
- Type the casino’s address yourself rather than following links from emails or social media.
- Send ID documents early so the first withdrawal is not held up.
- Send a small test transaction before a large one, and double-check the coin and network.
- Keep balances modest and withdraw winnings regularly; no US regulator protects funds at an offshore site.
- Skip the casino bonus if you play live tables.
- Record every deposit and withdrawal with date, coin, amount and dollar value for your tax return.
- Set a deposit limit. MyBookie lets you set daily, weekly or monthly limits or self-exclude through support; use whatever tools your casino offers.
Bitcoin Live Casino FAQ
Can US players use Bitcoin at a live dealer casino?
Yes, but only at offshore sites. Bovada, Ignition, MyBookie and BetOnline all take Bitcoin from US players in the states they serve and run live blackjack, roulette and baccarat. None holds a US state licence, and we found no state-licensed online casino in the seven live US markets that lists Bitcoin as a deposit method in October 2026.
Which Bitcoin live casino pays out fastest?
After approval, Bovada and Ignition both quote about an hour for Litecoin and most other coins and up to 24 hours for Bitcoin. The approval step comes first: about 24 hours at Bovada, 24 to 48 hours at Ignition, 12 to 24 hours at MyBookie. BetOnline says crypto withdrawals are processed within 24 hours.
Are Bitcoin casino transactions anonymous?
No. Bitcoin is pseudonymous: every transaction is public and traceable on the blockchain, and US exchanges verify your identity. Offshore casinos also ask for photo ID and proof of address before they release a withdrawal.
Do Bitcoin casinos charge fees?
Bovada, Ignition and MyBookie charge no fee of their own on Bitcoin deposits or Bitcoin withdrawals (MyBookie adds $5 on crypto deposits under $20). BetOnline lists Bitcoin payouts as free but charges $1.50 to $25 on other coins. You still pay the blockchain network fee and any exchange fees when you buy or sell crypto.
Can I claim a crypto bonus and play live dealer games with it?
Not usefully. Bovada, Ignition and MyBookie exclude live dealer games from casino bonus rollover, and Bovada does not let bonus funds be used at live tables at all. If you mainly play live blackjack, roulette or baccarat, deposit without a casino bonus.
Do I pay tax on Bitcoin casino winnings?
Yes. The IRS treats all gambling winnings as taxable income, including winnings received in crypto, valued in US dollars at fair market value when you receive them. Offshore casinos do not send Form W-2G, but you must still report the income. From the 2026 tax year, deductible gambling losses are limited to 90% of your losses and still cannot exceed your winnings.
Is Bitcoin Lightning accepted at US-facing casinos?
Bovada lists Bitcoin Lightning for deposits (minimum 0.0001 BTC, maximum $10,000), and Ignition lists it for withdrawals from $10 up to $10,000 per transaction and $25,000 a day. You need a Lightning-capable wallet, and you must not mix up Lightning and on-chain Bitcoin addresses.
Should I use Bitcoin or a stablecoin like USDT?
A dollar-pegged stablecoin such as USDT or USDC removes most price risk while your money is in transit. Bitcoin is accepted everywhere and has higher withdrawal caps at Bovada and Ignition ($9,500 per request against $2,500 a week for USDT). Many players deposit in a stablecoin and withdraw larger wins in Bitcoin or Litecoin.
What happens if I send crypto to the wrong address or network?
The funds are usually lost. Crypto payments cannot be reversed, and Bovada warns that sending a coin to the wrong network, such as Bitcoin to a Bitcoin Cash address, loses it. Always copy a fresh address from the cashier and send a small test amount first.
Can you cash out Bitcoin for real money?
Yes. Once a casino has paid your winnings to your own wallet, you can sell the Bitcoin for dollars on a US crypto exchange and withdraw the cash to your bank account, usually by ACH transfer or wire. Expect the exchange to verify your identity, and remember that the price can move between the casino payout and the sale. For tax purposes the IRS treats digital assets as property, not currency, so selling can create a gain or loss on top of the gambling winnings.
