Pragmatic Play Live is the live dealer division of Pragmatic Play, streaming roulette, blackjack, baccarat and game shows such as Mega Wheel and Sweet Bonanza CandyLand from studios in Bucharest, Bogotá and other locations. It is one of the largest live casino suppliers outside Evolution, licensed in Great Britain, Malta, Gibraltar and Romania. As of October 2026 we found no US state approval for Pragmatic Play Live, and its live tables are not offered at state-licensed US online casinos.
This guide, updated in October 2026, covers who runs Pragmatic Play Live, where its studios are, the main games, its licences, how the tables play on a phone, and what US players can realistically expect. For a side-by-side view of the biggest studios, see our ranking of the top live casino software providers.

Who Runs Pragmatic Play Live
Pragmatic Play built its name on slots and has operated since 2015. Its footer calls the business “a Veridian (Gibraltar) Limited investment”, and its licences sit with group companies in Gibraltar, Malta and the UK. Live casino came later and arrived by acquisition: in June 2018 Pragmatic completed the purchase of Extreme Live Gaming from the Novomatic Group, a London-based live studio that our Extreme Live Gaming review covers in detail.
The Extreme name has since disappeared. In April 2019 Pragmatic announced a Class II licence from Romania’s National Gambling Office (ONJN) for a new Bucharest studio with capacity for 43 tables at launch, and that building became the home of Pragmatic Play Live. Pragmatic’s live casino page still describes its games as broadcast from “our studio in Bucharest”.
Studio delivery is now handled by a sister business. When the Bogotá studio opened on 27 October 2025, Pragmatic said it was delivered and operated by ARRISE, backed by an investment of more than US$15 million, with over 100 tables and native Spanish and Portuguese-speaking dealers. At ICE Barcelona in January 2026 the company said it had launched more than 150 new live tables in the previous year, 55 of them localised, supported by new studios in Serbia and Colombia, with a further studio planned in Brazil during 2026.
Pragmatic Play Live Games
Pragmatic’s lobby mixes classic tables with game shows that borrow themes from its slots. The table below groups the titles its live casino page lists in October 2026.
| Category | Titles on Pragmatic’s live casino page |
|---|---|
| Roulette | Roulette, Mega Roulette, Mega Roulette 3000, PowerUP Roulette, Fortune Roulette, Gates of Olympus Roulette |
| Blackjack | Blackjack, ONE Blackjack, Free Bet Blackjack, Blackjack X, Bet Behind Pro Blackjack, Privé Lounge Blackjack |
| Baccarat and Asian games | Baccarat, Amazing Baccarat, Seotda Baccarat, Mega Sic Bac, Dragon Tiger, Andar Bahar |
| Dice | Mega Sic Bo, Dice City |
| Game shows | Mega Wheel, Sweet Bonanza CandyLand, Money Time, The Bingo Spot, Snakes & Ladders Live, Color Game Bonanza |
| Poker | Privé Lounge Russian Poker |
Three titles explain most of the brand’s reach:
- Mega Wheel is a money wheel with random multipliers on selected numbers. Our Mega Wheel guide covers the segments and bets.
- Sweet Bonanza CandyLand, announced on 24 November 2021, turns Pragmatic’s best-known slot into a 54-segment wheel with bonus features. Our Sweet Bonanza CandyLand guide explains each bonus.
- Mega Sic Bo, launched from Bucharest in July 2020, adds random Mega Multipliers that can pay up to 1,000x the stake on selected bets.
For 2026 the company named Color Game Bonanza, Crystal Roulette and new Flow Blackjack tables among its releases, and Gates of Olympus Roulette brings another slot theme to a live wheel. Pragmatic also builds dedicated tables for individual casinos, branded in the operator’s colours, which is why the same game can look different from one site to the next.
How the game shows differ from classic tables
Classic tables follow the rules you would meet in a land-based casino, so the house edge is set by the rules and the payout table. Game shows add random multipliers or bonus rounds drawn by a random number generator on top of a physical wheel. That makes results more volatile and returns vary by bet, so check the help screen before you play. Our guide to return to player (RTP) explains how to read those figures.
Licences and Testing
Pragmatic publishes its licences in its website footer and on its live casino page. The company names the UK Gambling Commission (account 56015), the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner (RGL No. 107), the Malta Gaming Authority and Romania’s ONJN, and it lists game certifications for markets including Italy, Sweden, Denmark and Bulgaria. Switzerland’s gaming regulator ESBK also lists Pragmatic live games, among them Mega Wheel, Mega Roulette, Mega Sic Bo and ONE Blackjack, in its register of approved live online games (version dated 1 October 2026).
A supplier licence covers the games, not the casino. The site where you play needs its own licence, and that is the one that protects your balance and gives you a regulator to complain to.
Pragmatic Play Live and US Players
US access is the weak spot. Eight states have legalised online casinos; seven markets are live (New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia, Connecticut, Delaware and Rhode Island), and Maine legalised a tribal-only market (LD 1164: became law without the governor’s signature in January 2026, effective 29 July 2026) that has not launched as of October 2026. Every live dealer studio serving those states needs approval from the state regulator, and we found no such approval for Pragmatic Play or Pragmatic Play Live as of October 2026. Pragmatic’s live casino page does not mention the United States at all.
Pragmatic did reach Americans for a while through sweepstakes casinos. On 2 September 2025 it said it would stop licensing its games to sweepstakes operators in US states where restrictions were not already in place, citing regulatory developments; the move followed a Los Angeles civil action against Stake.us that named Pragmatic among its suppliers. Several states have since banned online sweepstakes casinos, including California (1 January 2026), New York (8 December 2025) and Indiana (1 July 2026).
The offshore casinos that accept US players do not fill the gap either. Bovada, Ignition, MyBookie and BetOnline run live tables from other studios, such as Visionary iGaming (VIG), Fresh Deck Studios and Gold Tier Gaming, and none of the four showed Pragmatic live tables in October 2026. Those sites hold no US state licence, so there is no state regulator to complain to and your funds are not protected.
If you live in a regulated state, the state-licensed casinos stream tables from Evolution and Playtech instead; our Evolution Gaming review lists its US studios. For the games themselves, our live dealer games hub compares rules and odds across studios.
Mobile Play
Pragmatic designs its live interface for phones first. Its games run in the casino’s browser lobby or app on iOS and Android, with a vertical layout on most game shows and a swipe-friendly chip rack on the tables. A stable connection matters more than the device: a dropped stream during a betting window usually means the bet is not placed, and a bet already accepted is settled on the actual result. Our guide to how live dealer casinos work covers what happens when a game is interrupted.
Pragmatic Play Live vs Evolution
Pragmatic Play Live is most often compared with Evolution, the largest live casino supplier. The two differ most in size and in where US players can find them.
| Pragmatic Play Live | Evolution | |
|---|---|---|
| Company | Pragmatic Play, privately owned by an investor group led by Veridian (Gibraltar) Limited | Evolution AB (publ), listed on Nasdaq Stockholm |
| Live casino since | 2018, after buying Extreme Live Gaming | 2006 |
| Studios | Bucharest, Bogotá and Serbia; a Brazil studio planned for 2026 | 24 worldwide at the end of 2025, seven of them in the US |
| Licences | UKGC (account 56015), Gibraltar (RGL No. 107), MGA, Romania’s ONJN | Malta Gaming Authority, UKGC and US state regulators |
| Best-known live games | Mega Wheel, Mega Roulette, Sweet Bonanza CandyLand | Crazy Time, Lightning Roulette, Immersive Roulette |
| US availability | No state approval found as of October 2026 | State-licensed casinos in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Connecticut, West Virginia and Delaware; also licensed in Rhode Island |
For a US player the choice is made by the law, not by the games: state-licensed casinos stream Evolution and Playtech tables, and none stream Pragmatic. Outside the US, the main difference is style. Pragmatic leans on game shows that reuse its slot themes, while Evolution has the larger studio network. Our ranking of the top live casino software providers adds Playtech, Ezugi and VIG to the comparison.
Strengths and Weaknesses
| Strengths | Weaknesses |
|---|---|
| Wide catalogue, from classic tables to slot-themed game shows | No live tables at state-licensed US casinos (October 2026) |
| Multiple licences, including Great Britain and Malta | Game-show returns vary by bet and are below the best classic tables |
| Fast growth: new studios in Colombia and Serbia, Brazil planned | Many tables are dedicated to single operators, so lobbies differ widely |
| Mobile-first interface | Not offered by the offshore sites that take US players |
