Best Blackjack Bonuses for US Players: What Blackjack Really Counts

Blackjack bonuses at Bovada, Ignition, MyBookie and BetOnline: contribution rates by variant, live blackjack exclusions and the real cost of clearing.

A dealer's hands drawing a card from the shoe at a live blackjack table

The best blackjack bonus for most US players in October 2026 is often no bonus at all. At the four offshore sites US blackjack fans use most (Bovada, Ignition, MyBookie and BetOnline), regular online blackjack clears casino bonuses at 10% or less, single-deck tables count nothing, and live dealer blackjack is either excluded or counts 0%. This page sets out each casino’s blackjack contribution rates from its own bonus terms, works through what clearing a bonus with blackjack really costs, and lists the rewards that do pay blackjack players.

Updated October 2026. The previous version of this page described generic bonus types and pointed readers to casinos that do not accept US players. Every rate, cap and rule below comes from the operators’ bonus terms and help centres, checked through a US connection, and our live casino bonus guide covers the welcome offers themselves in more detail.

Blackjack contribution rates at each casino (October 2026)

A contribution rate is the share of each bet that counts towards a bonus rollover. At 10%, a $50 blackjack hand clears $5 of the requirement. Blackjack is rarely treated as one game: the bonus terms split it by variant, and the split matters more than the headline match.

Blackjack type Bovada Ignition MyBookie BetOnline
Standard RNG blackjack 10% (unless a game says otherwise) 10% 10% for American and European blackjack Not published; bonuses limited to “classic casino games”
Double deck blackjack 2% 2% Not listed separately Not published
Single deck blackjack 0% (Single Deck and Classic Blackjack) 0% (Single Deck and Classic Single Deck) 10% Not published
Specialty variants Set per game; several titles excluded Set per game 5% for Pirate 21, Blackjack Super 7, 21 Burn and Pontoon Not published
Live dealer blackjack 0%, and bonus funds cannot be used in Live Casino 0%, and bonus funds cannot be used in Live Dealer Live Casino wagers do not count No live dealer rate published

Three details are easy to miss. Bovada’s 0% line names “Single Deck & Classic Blackjack” alongside live casino, so the classic RNG table many players open first does nothing for a rollover. Its separate excluded-games list also names several blackjack titles, including Single Deck Blackjack, Classic Single Deck Blackjack, Surrender Blackjack X and BlackJack 21+3. Ignition uses the same structure and adds one exception: its terms say specific live dealer bonuses may be issued to VIP players, with their own terms.

The MyBookie 10% or 20% question

MyBookie’s help centre does not agree with itself on blackjack. The casino bonus terms and the casino rollover-details article both put “Baccarat, Blackjack (American & European)” and Single Deck Blackjack at 10%. A shorter “Rollover Contribution Table” article lists “Blackjack / Other RNG Table Games” at 20%. We use the 10% figure because it comes from the full bonus terms and a worked example in MyBookie’s own help article ($4,000 of blackjack hands counting as $400). The difference is large, as the maths below shows, so ask MyBookie support which rate your bonus uses before you deposit.

Why live blackjack counts for nothing

Blackjack played with basic strategy has one of the lowest house edges in the casino, about 0.5% at a standard eight-deck table where the dealer stands on soft 17, according to the Wizard of Odds rule calculator. A bonus that counted live hands in full would hand a skilled player most of its value. Live tables also cost the casino more to run than software. Our live blackjack guide explains the rules behind that low edge.

What clearing a bonus with blackjack really costs

A bonus has a price: the expected loss on all the betting you must do to release it. For blackjack, that price is the rollover in dollars, divided by the contribution rate, multiplied by the house edge.

Expected cost of clearing = rollover required ÷ contribution rate × house edge

If the expected cost is larger than the bonus, the offer loses money on average, before any swings in your favour or against you. The examples below use an assumed house edge of 0.5% for RNG blackjack played with basic strategy. Real RNG tables vary with the rules, so check the RTP in the game’s help screen and adjust.

Example 1: Bovada card bonus on a $200 deposit

  1. Bovada matches card deposits 100%, so a $200 deposit adds a $200 bonus.
  2. The 25x rollover applies to deposit plus bonus: ($200 + $200) × 25 = $10,000.
  3. At 10%, regular RNG blackjack needs $100,000 of hands to produce $10,000 of qualifying bets.
  4. With a 0.5% edge, $100,000 of hands has an expected loss of $500, against a $200 bonus: a net expected loss of about $300.
  5. On double deck blackjack at 2%, the same rollover needs $500,000 of hands and an expected loss of about $2,500.

The max-bet rule slows this down further. While the bonus is active, Bovada caps each casino bet at 20% of the deposit, here $40. Even at the cap, $100,000 of action is 2,500 hands, and most players bet less.

Example 2: MyBookie 200MB bonus on a $100 deposit

  1. The 200% match adds a $200 bonus to a $100 deposit.
  2. MyBookie’s rollover is 40x the bonus plus 1x the deposit: $8,000 + $100 = $8,100.
  3. At the 10% rate in MyBookie’s bonus terms, that takes $81,000 of RNG blackjack. The expected loss at 0.5% is about $405, roughly twice the $200 bonus.
  4. Using the 20% rate in the shorter table, it takes $40,500 of hands, an expected loss of about $203, which is close to break-even.
  5. On Pirate 21, Blackjack Super 7, 21 Burn or Pontoon at 5%, the requirement becomes $162,000 of hands.

That is why the 10% or 20% question matters: one reading makes the bonus a clear loser for blackjack players, the other makes it roughly neutral. Neither makes it profitable, and none of it can be cleared at a live table.

Cost per $1 of bonus: blackjack against slots

Turning every offer into “expected cost per $1 of bonus” makes them comparable. Blackjack is assumed at a 0.5% edge and 10% contribution; the slot column uses an illustrative 96% return to player (a 4% edge) at 100%.

Offer (October 2026) Qualifying bets per $1 of bonus Cost per $1 via RNG blackjack Cost per $1 via slots
Bovada card, 100% match, 25x deposit + bonus $50 $2.50 $2.00
Bovada crypto, 1st deposit, 125% match, 25x deposit + bonus $45 $2.25 $1.80
Bovada crypto, 2nd and 3rd deposits, 50x deposit + bonus $90 $4.50 $3.60
Ignition crypto, casino part 150%, 25x deposit + bonus About $41.67 About $2.08 About $1.67
MyBookie 200MB, 40x bonus + 1x deposit $40.50 About $2.03 (10%) or $1.01 (20%) $1.62

Every figure in the blackjack column is above $1, so each offer costs more to clear with blackjack than it pays. Blackjack’s low house edge does not rescue it, because the 10% contribution multiplies the betting tenfold. Slots also come out above $1 at a 4% edge, which is why big matches are a poor deal for most players, not just blackjack fans.

Bonus rules that catch blackjack players

Beyond the contribution table, the terms contain rules written with table-game players in mind. Breaking them can cost the bonus and every win made with it.

  • Max bet while a bonus is active. Bovada and Ignition cap each casino wager at 20% of the deposited amount until the bonus is complete, and the cap applies to deposited funds as well as bonus funds. A $100 deposit means $20 hands. Doubling down or splitting puts a second stake on the table, so keep your base bet well under the cap.
  • Switching games to finish the rollover. Both sites list “moving from a low weighted game (table games) to high weighted game (slots or specialty game)” as prohibited play. Playing blackjack while your balance grows and then finishing the rollover on slots is exactly what that rule targets.
  • Betting systems. Bovada and Ignition also prohibit “using any betting system or placing even money bets on any game of chance” when it is done to exploit a bonus. Progressive staking at blackjack falls into that description. Our live blackjack minimum bet guide shows why systems fail against table limits anyway.
  • Low-risk play at BetOnline. BetOnline’s rules ban wagering patterns, strategies or staking systems whose main purpose is to meet wagering requirements with little or no genuine risk, and its live casino rules prohibit professional card counters.
  • No early exit at MyBookie. Once any bonus funds have been played, MyBookie will not let you forfeit the bonus to withdraw. The decision has to be made before the first hand.

Blackjack promotions that are not deposit matches

Because deposit matches do so little for blackjack, the promotions worth knowing about are the ones attached to the game itself or paid on real-money play.

Ignition 777 Progressive Jackpot (live blackjack)

Ignition’s promotions page features a progressive jackpot on its live blackjack tables in the Dynamite Interactive section of the lobby. Players opt in by placing a side bet (the “J” in the middle of the betting area). Three 7 of diamonds wins the whole jackpot, any three red 7s pay a $1,000 mini jackpot and any three 7s pay $100. The side bet is not available on the Early Payout tables. Treat it as an extra wager with its own house edge, not as a bonus: it does not reduce the cost of the main game.

Bovada Super 777 progressive

Bovada’s live casino help section lists a Super 777 progressive jackpot side bet at live blackjack, next to the Pairs and Rummy side bets. Like Ignition’s, it is a paid side bet. Side bets usually carry a far higher house edge than the main hand, so a small, fixed amount per hand is the only sensible way to play one.

BetOnline Casino Rakeback

BetOnline pays Casino Rakeback in cash, with no rollover and no expiry, on eligible casino bets at every VIP level. Its FAQ excludes craps, sportsbook, poker and racebook, but not blackjack. Rakeback is calculated from your total bet and the house edge of each game, so blackjack’s low edge earns a small rebate: $10,000 of hands at a 0.5% edge carries $50 of house-edge value, and rakeback returns an unpublished portion of that. It is modest, but unlike a match bonus it costs nothing to collect.

Loyalty points for blackjack

Programme RNG blackjack Live blackjack Value
Bovada Rewards No published rate; the table-game rate of 1 point per $1 “does NOT include Blackjack” 0 points (live casino earns nothing) Points redeem for bonus cash, which carries its own rollover
Ignition Rewards 0.5 Miles per $1 (table games) No separate live rate published At Steel tier, 2,500 Miles = $1 of casino bonus cash, so $1,000 of blackjack earns about $0.20
MyBookie Loyalty 1 point per $1 on table bets 1 point per $1 on live casino Points have no cash value; they unlock bonuses from the Loyalty Program tab
BetOnline Casino Rakeback on eligible casino games Not stated whether each live table qualifies Cash, no rollover

For a player who mainly plays live blackjack, MyBookie’s loyalty table and BetOnline’s rakeback are the only programmes here that reward the game at all.

Should a blackjack player take the bonus?

Match the decision to how you actually play:

  • Live blackjack only: decline. Live hands clear nothing at Bovada, Ignition or MyBookie, and Bovada and Ignition will not let bonus funds reach a live table.
  • Mostly RNG blackjack: usually decline. Our worked examples show an expected cost of about $2 to $2.50 per $1 of bonus at a 10% rate.
  • Blackjack plus slots: a bonus can make sense only if you would play the slots anyway, and you clear it on slots from the start instead of switching mid-way, which Bovada and Ignition treat as prohibited play.
  • Blackjack plus poker at Ignition: the poker half of Ignition’s welcome offer unlocks through Ignition Miles earned at the poker tables, with no rollover on released cash. That half is worth having; the casino half is not, for a blackjack player.

Playing blackjack without a bonus

Declining a bonus does not mean no strings at all. Each site asks you to wager every deposit at least once before you withdraw it. BetOnline’s rules say all deposited funds must be rolled over 1x, and Bovada and Ignition apply the same principle. MyBookie publishes a separate 1x deposit table that counts live dealer games and blackjack at 10% and roulette at 5%. A $100 deposit played only at live blackjack therefore needs $1,000 of hands at MyBookie, or 40 hands at $25.

  1. Bovada: bonuses are claimed by clicking Deposit next to the offer in Rewards, so making a normal deposit leaves you bonus-free.
  2. Ignition: the welcome bonus is chosen at the first deposit, so do not select it.
  3. MyBookie: leave the code field empty; the 200MB match only applies with the code.
  4. BetOnline: deposit bonuses are optional and must be requested with a promo code.

Table stakes matter as much as the bonus. Live blackjack at these sites starts at $1 a hand at BetOnline and $10 to $15 at Bovada and Ignition, with VIP tables running to $50,000. Our minimum bet guide compares the cheapest seats, and our roulette bonuses page covers the same questions for the wheel, where the exclusions are stricter still.

Eight states have legalised online casinos; seven markets are live (New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia, Connecticut, Delaware and Rhode Island). Maine legalised a tribal-only online casino market (LD 1164, which became law without the governor’s signature in January 2026 and took effect on 29 July 2026) that had not launched as of October 2026. Bovada, Ignition, MyBookie and BetOnline are offshore and hold no licence from any US state.

Each one excludes some states, listed on the cards above. On 3 October 2024 the Massachusetts Attorney General sent a cease-and-desist letter to the operators of Bovada, and in January 2025 Michigan’s Gaming Control Board ordered MyBookie to stop serving Michigan. If an offshore site voids a bonus or withholds winnings under its terms, there is no state regulator to complain to and your balance is not protected by a US licence. Read how we score these sites on our how we rate casinos page, and check the law where you live before you deposit.

Play within limits

Rollover targets push players to bet more and for longer than planned, and blackjack’s 10% rate makes those targets ten times larger. Set a deposit limit and a time limit, never chase a rollover with money you need, and stop if it stops being fun. Blackjack bonus FAQs

Does live blackjack count towards a casino bonus?

Not at the four US-facing sites we review. Bovada and Ignition count live dealer games at 0% and block bonus funds from live tables, MyBookie says Live Casino wagers do not count towards bonus wagering, and BetOnline publishes no live dealer rate, so ask its support before you rely on one.

What percentage does blackjack contribute to wagering?

Regular RNG blackjack counts 10% at Bovada, Ignition and MyBookie (according to MyBookie’s casino bonus terms). Double deck blackjack counts 2% at Bovada and Ignition, and single deck blackjack 0%. MyBookie counts Pirate 21, Blackjack Super 7, 21 Burn and Pontoon at 5%.

Is MyBookie’s blackjack contribution 10% or 20%?

MyBookie’s help centre gives both. The casino bonus terms and the rollover-details article list blackjack at 10%, while a shorter contribution table says 20% for blackjack and other RNG table games. We use the 10% figure from the full terms and suggest you confirm with support before you deposit.

Is a casino bonus worth it for blackjack players?

Usually not. At a 10% contribution and a house edge of about 0.5%, clearing each $1 of a typical offshore welcome bonus costs roughly $2 to $2.50 in expected losses, so the bonus is worth less than it costs. Live blackjack players gain nothing at all because live hands do not count.

Can I play blackjack while a bonus is active?

Yes, but slowly and within the rules. Bovada and Ignition cap every casino bet at 20% of your deposit while a bonus is active and treat switching from table games to slots, betting systems and even-money betting as prohibited play. At Bovada, bonus funds cannot be used at live tables at all.

Are there blackjack-only promotions?

A few, and they are side bets rather than free money. Ignition runs a 777 Progressive Jackpot side bet on its Dynamite Interactive live blackjack tables, and Bovada offers a Super 777 progressive jackpot side bet at live blackjack. BetOnline’s Casino Rakeback pays cash on eligible casino bets with no rollover.

What's the best payout for blackjack?

A natural blackjack paying 3:2, so a $10 bet wins $15. Many tables pay only 6:5 ($12 on a $10 bet), which the Wizard of Odds puts at 1.39 percentage points of extra house edge, more than tripling the cost of a game that runs at about 0.5% with basic strategy. Check the felt or the table rules before you play, and before you use blackjack to clear a bonus; our guide to blackjack odds and probability shows how other rules add up.
