Fresh Deck Studios Review: Live Dealer Games, Rules and Casinos

Fresh Deck Studios reviewed: blackjack, roulette and baccarat rules and house edges, BetOnline tables and limits, undisclosed owner and licence, US status.

A dealer's hands shuffling a deck over a felt table

Fresh Deck Studios is a live dealer software supplier that streams blackjack, roulette, baccarat and Casino Hold’em to online casinos, mostly offshore sites that accept US players; BetOnline is the best-known casino using it. The company publishes no owner, address or licence, and says only that it was founded by iGaming industry leaders and streams 24/7 from locations around the globe. Its games follow standard rules: Wizard of Odds puts the house edge of its eight-deck blackjack at about 0.62% and of its single-zero roulette at 2.70%.

This review sets out what is and is not known about Fresh Deck, its game catalog with rules and house edges, where its tables appear and at what limits, and what the missing licence information means for players.

The older version of this page described Fresh Deck as a provider for players “in Australia”, credited it with Spanish 21, Double Exposure and progressive roulette jackpots, and praised its “encryption” and “regular audits”. We found no evidence for any of that, and Australian law bars online casinos from offering their games to Australians, so those claims have been removed.

Who is behind Fresh Deck Studios?

Fresh Deck’s own site says the company was founded by iGaming industry leaders who saw demand for a premium live dealer supplier, describes itself as a B2B software supplier with games “streaming 24/7 from locations around the globe”, and sets the goal of becoming the global leader in live dealer software. It names no executives, parent company, registered address or regulator, and its contact page is a web form.

Third-party sources fill only part of the gap. LiveDealers.com lists the supplier as established in 2019 with studios in Latvia and Lithuania; LCB’s directory says no ownership information is available. Wizard of Odds, in its review of the supplier, went further and suggested that Fresh Deck may not run its own studio at all but acts as “a layer between other studios and the player”, noting experiments with computer-generated dealers. None of these points is confirmed by the company, and we treat them as open questions.

The lack of disclosure is the most important fact about the supplier. Major live studios publish their licences and studio addresses: Evolution, for example, lists its Malta Gaming Authority licence and its US state approvals. With Fresh Deck, a player relies entirely on the casino’s own licence and reputation.

Games, rules and house edges

Fresh Deck’s catalog is small: four games, with variations in seats and limits. Wizard of Odds documented the rules below.

Game Rules House edge or return
Blackjack 8 decks, blackjack pays 3:2, dealer stands on soft 17, double on any two cards, no double after split, one split, no resplit aces, no draw to split aces, peek, no surrender About 0.62% edge (return of about 99.4%)
Blackjack side bet: 21+3 Every winning hand pays 9:1 2.74%
Blackjack side bet: Perfect Pairs Pays 25:1 on a perfect pair 13.03%
Roulette Single zero, automatic and live wheels 2.70%
Baccarat Punto Banco with six side bets Side bets 2.65% (Player Bonus) to 13.03% (Perfect Pair)
Casino Hold’em Unlimited seats against the dealer Not published by Fresh Deck

The blackjack rules are slightly worse than the best live games because doubling after a split is not allowed, which Wizard of Odds values at about 0.14 percentage points. Even so, a 0.62% edge with basic strategy is far cheaper than any of the side bets. Our live blackjack guide shows the basic strategy that gets you close to that figure.

The baccarat side bets range widely, as listed by Wizard of Odds:

Baccarat side bet House edge
Player Bonus 2.65%
Big 4.35%
Small 5.28%
Banker Bonus 9.37%
Player Pair 10.36%
Perfect Pair 13.03%

For comparison, the main Banker bet in eight-deck baccarat carries 1.06% and the Player bet 1.24%, so every side bet costs more. Our live baccarat guide and live roulette guide cover the main bets, and the Casino Hold’em tutorial explains how the poker game is played.

Fresh Deck tables at BetOnline

BetOnline’s live lobby carries tables from Visionary iGaming and from Fresh Deck, with Fresh Deck’s logo on several exclusive tables. When we viewed the lobby from a US connection on 9 October 2026, the Fresh Deck tables included:

Table Limits
Blackjack Classic 3 (exclusive) $50 to $20,000
Blackjack Classic 4 (exclusive) $500 to $50,000
Blackjack Classic 5 (exclusive) $100 to $20,000
Super Charged Roulette $0.50 to $12,500
American Super Charged Roulette $0.50 to $12,500
Auto Roulette 1 $0.50 to $12,500
Live Roulette $0.50 to $12,500

The roulette wheels offer the widest stake range in BetOnline’s lobby, from 50 cents to $12,500, while Classic 4 has the lobby’s highest blackjack minimum. The American wheel adds a double zero and a 5.26% house edge, so pick a single-zero table when both are open. BetOnline’s live casino rules apply to every studio: a timed-out blackjack hand is completed by basic strategy, back betting follows the main player’s decisions, and a misdeal or technical fault voids the round and returns bets. Our BetOnline review covers the full lobby, and the BetOnline live blackjack guide compares every table.

Tables, names and limits change often, so treat this list as a snapshot. Wizard of Odds lists dozens of other casinos using Fresh Deck, mostly offshore sites that accept US players; we have not reviewed those sites.

Fresh Deck vs other studios at US-facing offshore sites

Studio Where we found it Public disclosure
Visionary iGaming (VIG) MyBookie, BetOnline, Ignition Long-running studio built for US-facing operators
Fresh Deck Studios BetOnline No owner, address or licence published
Gold Tier Gaming Bovada, Ignition Named on table labels
Dynamite Interactive Bovada Named on table labels

Our Visionary iGaming review covers the largest of these studios, and our guide to live casino software providers puts them alongside the licensed suppliers that serve regulated markets.

Mobile play

Fresh Deck builds its interfaces in HTML5, so its tables run in the casino’s mobile browser on phones and tablets as well as on desktop, with no separate app. At BetOnline the live lobby is reached through the website; none of the four offshore brands we review has an app on the App Store or Google Play.

Eight states have legalised online casinos, and seven markets are live: New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia, Connecticut, Delaware and Rhode Island. Maine legalised a tribal-only market (LD 1164 became law without the governor’s signature in January 2026, effective 29 July 2026) that had not launched as of October 2026. State-licensed casinos may use only suppliers approved by their regulators, and we found no state supplier licence for Fresh Deck. Its tables therefore appear at offshore casinos, not at licensed US sites.

BetOnline and the other offshore sites hold no US state licence. BetOnline’s terms cite a licence from Panama, and Michigan’s Gaming Control Board issued cease-and-desist orders to BetOnline and SportsBetting in April 2025. If a hand is disputed at an offshore site, there is no state regulator to complain to, and player funds are not protected. With an undisclosed supplier on top, keep balances low and withdraw winnings promptly.

Frequently asked questions

What is Fresh Deck Studios?

Fresh Deck Studios is a B2B live dealer software supplier that offers blackjack, roulette, baccarat and Casino Hold’em to online casinos, along with an integration API and white-label casino sites. Its tables appear mainly at offshore casinos that accept US players, including BetOnline.

Who owns Fresh Deck Studios?

The company does not say. Its website describes the founders only as iGaming industry leaders and lists no owner, company registration, address or licence, and we found no public filing that names one.

Where are Fresh Deck Studios’ studios?

Fresh Deck says only that its games stream 24/7 from locations around the globe. Third-party directories list studios in Latvia and Lithuania, but the company has not confirmed this.

Which casinos use Fresh Deck Studios?

BetOnline runs Fresh Deck tables in its live lobby, including several exclusive blackjack tables and four roulette wheels (October 2026). Wizard of Odds lists dozens of other casinos using the supplier, mostly offshore sites open to US players.

Is Fresh Deck Studios fair?

Its games use standard rules: Wizard of Odds puts its 8-deck blackjack at about a 0.62% house edge and its single-zero roulette at 2.70%. However, Fresh Deck publishes no licence or testing certificate, so fairness rests on the casino that carries it.

We found no US state supplier licence for Fresh Deck, so its tables are not offered at state-licensed online casinos. They appear at offshore sites, which hold no US state licence and offer no state regulator to complain to.
