Extreme Live Gaming Baccarat is no longer available anywhere. The studio’s London tables disappeared after Pragmatic Play bought Extreme Live Gaming from the Novomatic Group in June 2018, and its baccarat lives on only in spirit through Pragmatic Play Live’s own tables. When it ran, the game offered two rule sets from one table: standard Punto Banco with a 5% Banker commission, and Super 6 Baccarat, where a Banker win on 6 paid half and a Super 6 side bet paid 12:1.
Updated October 2026. Our previous version described Extreme Live Gaming as a current Novomatic studio streaming baccarat from London casinos, listed four tables with $1 to $1,000 limits and sent readers to two casinos to play it. None of that holds today. This page now records how the game worked, what each bet cost, what happened to it and where US players can find similar tables. For the full rules of the game itself, see our live baccarat guide.

About Extreme Live Gaming Baccarat
Extreme Live Gaming started in 2013 as a pure live dealer studio. Novomatic’s UK arm, Astra Gaming Group, took a majority holding in April 2014, and according to Livedealer.org the London studio opened in late 2015. Baccarat sat alongside its better-known roulette games, including Golden Ball Roulette, and blackjack. Operators that carried the tables included Betvictor, Mr Green, LeoVegas, Betsson and Grosvenor, all serving European rather than US players.
Our earlier review said the baccarat was streamed “from brick-and-mortar casinos based in London”. That mixed up two products. The baccarat came from the London studio. Separately, the company’s Live Box system streamed tables from real casino floors, and Casino Admiral in Gibraltar was the first venue to use it. We found no record of a London casino floor feed for baccarat.
Unlike many studios of the time, Extreme did not split baccarat into separate rule variants on separate tables. Livedealer.org’s archived game page explains that one dealer and one deal served both rule sets, and the bet layout and payouts changed depending on which version a player opened. Our old review named four tables, Classic, Standard, VIP and Super 6. The more reliable reading is one rule pair (standard and Super 6) spread across tables with different limits.
Extreme Live Gaming Baccarat Rules
Both versions used normal Punto Banco. Each hand got two cards, tens and face cards counted as zero, Aces as one, and only the last digit of a total mattered. A natural 8 or 9 ended the round, otherwise the dealer applied the fixed third-card rules, so players made no decisions after betting. Our mini baccarat guide walks through those drawing rules step by step.
Our earlier review described an 8-deck shoe, and the house edges below assume eight decks. As our baccarat hub shows, moving between six and eight decks barely changes the main bets.
Standard rule set: payouts and house edge
| Bet | Payout | RTP (published) | House edge |
|---|---|---|---|
| Banker | 0.95:1 (1:1 minus 5% commission) | 98.94% | 1.06% |
| Player | 1:1 | 98.76% | 1.24% |
| Tie | 8:1 | 85.64% | 14.36% |
Those return figures match the standard 8-deck numbers from Wizard of Odds that we use across the site. A Player or Banker bet pushed on a tie.
Super 6 rule set: payouts and house edge
| Bet | Payout | House edge (8 decks) |
|---|---|---|
| Banker | 1:1, no commission, but 0.5:1 on a winning total of 6 | 1.46% |
| Player | 1:1 | 1.24% |
| Tie | 8:1 | 14.36% |
| Super 6 side bet (Banker wins with 6) | 12:1 | 29.98% |
Removing the commission sounds generous, but the Banker wins with a 6 about 5.39% of the time, and halving those wins costs more than the commission did. That makes Player the cheaper main bet on the Super 6 side of the table. The 12:1 side bet is the expensive part: Evolution’s No Commission Baccarat pays 15:1 on the same event, which brings the edge down to 13.82%. Our Super 6 baccarat guide compares every pay table.
Pair, Big and Small bets
Both rule sets offered Player Pair and Banker Pair, plus Big and Small, which bet on whether the round used four cards (Small) or five or six (Big). We could not find an archived Extreme pay table for these bets, so we do not quote payouts or edges for them. On today’s tables, a pair bet at 11:1 carries an edge of about 10.4% on eight decks, roughly ten times the Banker bet.
Worked Example: What Each Bet Cost
Take 100 rounds at $10 a hand. On the standard rule set, Banker costs about $10.60 on average (100 x $10 x 1.06%), and Player costs about $12.40. Switch to the Super 6 rule set and Banker rises to about $14.60 for the same 100 rounds, while Player stays at $12.40.
Adding a $5 Super 6 side bet every round changes the picture sharply. At 12:1 a winning side bet returns $65, and it lands about 5.39% of the time, so 100 bets of $5 return roughly $350 against $500 staked. That is about $150 lost on the side bet alone, ten times the cost of the main Banker bet. Results in any single session swing well above or below these averages, but the ranking of the bets never changes.
Features of the Old Tables
The interface was typical of a mid-2010s live studio. Players chose a chip value, clicked Player, Banker or Tie, and could use Repeat, Double and Undo buttons. Scorecards tracked the shoe, video quality could be lowered on slow connections, and a chat window let players talk to the dealers. Everything ran in the browser on desktop and on iOS and Android phones without a download.
Those scoreboards recorded results but did not predict them. Each hand was dealt from the remaining shoe under fixed rules, so no road changed the odds of the next round. Our article on the Golden Secret baccarat strategy explains why pattern systems cannot beat the house edge.
What Happened to Extreme Live Gaming Baccarat?
Pragmatic Play completed its purchase of Extreme Live Gaming from Novomatic in June 2018, when the studio ran 10 tables of roulette, blackjack and baccarat in London. Livedealer.org reports that the tables then began disappearing from the studio’s major licensees until none remained.
Its new owner chose to build rather than rebrand. On 1 April 2019 CasinoBeats reported that its new Bucharest studio had received a Class II licence from Romania’s gambling regulator, launching with live roulette, blackjack and baccarat. Live Baccarat Super Six was already on that studio’s roadmap, so the rule set Extreme players knew carried over to the new owner in a fresh studio. Our Extreme Live Gaming review covers the company history in full.
Pragmatic Play Live Baccarat Today
On its live casino page, Pragmatic Play describes its standard baccarat as having a manual zoom on the player’s cards, several side bets and all five traditional roads, with No Commission mode available at all tables. The game page for its live Baccarat lists an RTP of 98.76%, the same figure as the Player bet at a standard table.
- Baccarat: the standard game, with commission and No Commission modes.
- Speed Baccarat: shorter betting windows on the same rules.
- Amazing Baccarat: launched on 16 June 2026 on the Speed Baccarat format. Five Lucky Cards per round carry multipliers up to 200x, the main bets can pay up to 6,600:1, and an Amazing 8s side bet pays 55:1 before multipliers, up to 66,000:1.
- Seotda Baccarat: uses Korean Hwatu cards and rankings, with Player Bright and Banker Bright side bets paying up to 80:1.
Multiplier games trade small, frequent extra costs for rare large wins, so compare their rules with a plain table before you play. Our guide to the top live baccarat providers sets Pragmatic’s tables against Evolution, Ezugi and Playtech, and our Pragmatic Play live casino review covers the rest of its studio.
Can US Players Play Extreme Live Gaming Baccarat?
No. The game no longer exists, and its successor is not offered at US state-licensed casinos either. Pragmatic Play’s live casino page lists licences in Great Britain, Malta and Romania, we found no US state regulator approval for the company as of October 2026, and on 2 September 2025 it said it would stop supplying US sweepstakes casinos.
Eight states have legalised online casinos; seven markets are live (NJ, PA, MI, WV, CT, DE, RI); Maine legalised a tribal-only market (LD 1164: became law without the governor’s signature in January 2026, effective 29 Jul 2026) that has not launched (Oct 2026). State-licensed casinos in the seven live markets stream baccarat from Evolution’s US studios, including No Commission tables with the same Banker-6-pays-half rule.
Outside those states, the offshore sites we review use other studios. Bovada’s tables are labelled Gold Tier Gaming and Dynamite Interactive, MyBookie uses VIG, BetOnline runs VIG and Fresh Deck Studios, and Ignition’s live lobby titles its tables “ViG” alongside Gold Tier Gaming. Super 6 tables were confirmed at Bovada, MyBookie and Ignition in October 2026. Bovada, Ignition, MyBookie and BetOnline are offshore with no US state licence. Each excludes some states, there is no state regulator to complain to, and your funds are not protected the way they are at a licensed casino.
Tips if You Liked the Extreme Tables
- Pick the commission model first. At a 5% commission table bet Banker (1.06%); at a Super 6 or No Commission table, Player (1.24%) is cheaper than Banker (1.46%).
- Check the Super 6 payout. A 12:1 side bet costs about 30% of each stake, 15:1 about 14%.
- Skip the Tie. At 8:1 it gives up 14.36%, more than ten times the Banker bet.
- Ignore streak systems. No staking plan changes the house edge on any of these bets.
- Check the casino, not just the studio. The operator holds your money, so its licence and withdrawal terms matter most.

Extreme Live Gaming Baccarat FAQ
Is Extreme Live Gaming Baccarat still available?
No. Pragmatic Play bought Extreme Live Gaming from Novomatic in June 2018, and the studio’s tables then disappeared from the casinos that carried them. No casino offers Extreme Live Gaming Baccarat in 2026.
What were the payouts in Extreme Live Gaming Baccarat?
On the standard rule set, Player paid 1:1, Banker 0.95:1 after the 5% commission and Tie 8:1, with published RTPs of 98.76%, 98.94% and 85.64%. Under the Super 6 rule set, a Banker win on 6 paid 0.5:1 and the Super 6 side bet paid 12:1.
What is the house edge on a 12:1 Super 6 side bet?
About 29.98% on eight decks, according to Wizard of Odds. The bet wins only when the Banker wins with a total of 6, about 5.39% of rounds. At 15:1, as in Evolution’s No Commission Baccarat, the edge falls to 13.82%.
Who makes Extreme Live Gaming games now?
Pragmatic Play owns what was Extreme Live Gaming but did not keep the brand. It built Pragmatic Play Live around a new Bucharest studio licensed in Romania in 2019, which offers Baccarat, Speed Baccarat, Amazing Baccarat and Seotda Baccarat.
Can I play Pragmatic Play live baccarat in the US?
Not at a state-licensed US casino. We found no US state approval for Pragmatic Play as of October 2026, and it stopped supplying US sweepstakes casinos in September 2025. State-licensed casinos in the seven live states use Evolution’s US studios instead.
Is Banker or Player better at a Super 6 table?
Player. When a winning Banker 6 pays half, the Banker edge rises to about 1.46%, while Player stays at 1.24%. At a standard 5% commission table Banker is better, at about 1.06%.
